FRAC BLANKET
  • Utilizes natural gas to protect depleted/parent wellbores;

  • Minimizes the amount of water placed on formation reducing the possibility of a waterblock (capillary constraints) due to low reservoir pressure;

  • Mitigates the need/CAPEX for increased artificial lift such as Gas Lift or ESP after frac hit;

  • Natural gas re-pressurizes the formation, allowing for enhanced oil recovery when well is returned to production;

  • Need for miscellaneous pump crew mitigated to pump frac protect; and

  • Parent wellbores provide temporary gas storage option in basins where gas takeaway is maxed out (i.e. Bakken/Permian); and

  • Natural gas can be resold for revenue whereas salt water disposal is an expense.
